Abby was raised in Jamul and danced at “Gotta Dance” with Jen Toneck. Abby is a girl who loved to have fun. She enjoyed being on stage and always staying busy. Being involved in dance she decided to attend Coronado School of Arts where she studied under Betzi Roe. A strict program of classical dance opened up her eyes to dance as an art form while still having fun. Abby was a member of the Coronado Dance Company and performed around San Diego, while teaching dance one night a week. The one night turned into 7 and soon after into Jibe Studios. Abby thinks that dancing is fun, but teaching dance is incredible!

Jennifer started dancing and tumbling at the age of 4 and developed a passion for both. She continued taking classes and joined a performing company. Jennifer loved sharing her passion for dance and tumbling by performing throughout San Diego County. Admiring her many instructors, Jennifer decided to follow in her role-models’ footsteps. She began teaching classes and became the director of the company she once performed in. Jennifer earned her bachelors degree and a teaching credential from SDSU. She taught elementary school for 5 years, while creating Jibe with Abby. Her dedication to kids and work with the community makes Jibe not a job, but a dream.

Lindsey grew up in Alpine and began taking dance classes at Alpine Dance Academy when she was seven years old. She started out taking tap and jazz classes before her mom eventually forced her into taking a ballet class. Thank goodness for moms, because from then on, ballet became her favorite style. She went on to focus on ballet at Scripps Performing Arts Centre, and then later at San Diego Civic Youth Ballet. While at SDCYB, she took classes in ballet, pointe, and modern and attended camps with all styles of dance. She danced in many roles and shows including the Nutcracker each season, Cinderella, Peter Pan and Swan Lake. During her senior year of high school she began performing with La Diego Dance Theatre under Daniel Marshall, and continued into college before transferring to the University of Colorado. She enjoyed taking whatever dance classes she could while in school, but missed it so much after graduation, and was so excited to start teaching it at Jibe! She has always loved working with children, so kids and dance put together became the perfect job! Her favorite part about teaching is watching her students grow, and seeing all of their hard work come to life on stage.
