All the fun without all the stress

Show

Information

Jibe Studios is a non-competitive studio that offers multiple opportunities for our participants to perform.  Instead of showing our dancers' skills to judges, we prefer showcasing their talents to family, friends and the community.

Say Cheese!

Photo Week & Dress Rehearsal

Before each Christmas Show and Recital, dancers get to dress up in their costumes, come to the studio, take photos, and practice their dances one more time! This week has quickly become a well-loved tradition at Jibe, for more reasons than just seeing everyone look so great in their costumes (although that's a good one, too!)

One-stop shop

All photos are taken right within the studio at your dancer's normal class time, making for a convenient one-stop-shop right within the studio! We know how hectic life can get, and try to make things a little more convenient.

Parents stay in the lobby

Dancers get to walk the pink carpet and come into their dance room with their instructors only, giving them a sense of independence and helping prepare them for show day drop-off!

Dancers work as a team

Doing one last run-through in costume helps dancers see the whole picture. It also helps them work together as a team, taking ownership of their dance and making sure everyone feels confident for show day.

Memories to last a lifetime

What to Wear

Costumes

Your class registration fee includes a costume for your dancer! It is yours to keep- but make sure it stays hung up and away from little hands until Photo Week & Show Day!

Hair & Makeup

Hair & makeup are totally up to you and your dancer! Hair can be styled however you'd like for Photo Week, we just ask that it is out of your dancer's face for show day. Feel free to have fun with makeup (or wear none at all), less is more for Photo Week!

Tights & Shoes

Tights and shoes will vary from class-to-class. Take a look at the guide below for more info, and check in with your instructor if you're still unsure!

Tips for a successful show day!

~  Have a snack before the show and be sure to use the restroom before you leave home.
~  Focus on the excitement, and try to avoid using the word nervous.

~  Don't instruct your child to "stay with the teacher."  Our whole staff will be helping backstage and your child's teacher will have multiple classes performing.

~  Don't send anything "extra" backstage with your child.  If your child is performing in multiple dances, please arrive in the first costume and have the other costumes in the a bag with the provided name tag.

And most importantly...

Sit back, relax and enjoy cheering on your performer!
